Hello and welcome! I’m Sarah, and these are my boys: Ryan (a history teacher fueled by hipster coffee) and Hudson (our 3-year-old adventurer with a sizable rock collection). I wear a few hats (former cast member on MTV’s The Real World, current editor-in-chief of digital lifestyle quarterly – Emma Magazine, and host of a Ulive web series), but I’m most passionate about my little family of 3.
Ryan and I met in the halls of my high school theater department – a 16-year-old googly-eyed girl and a college kid in Converse. I remember him wearing a worn-in rocker tee, a blazer, and faded blue jeans. He talked about things like philosophy and race relations. He was in college, after all. We were dating other people. Well, he was dating. I was mostly just holding hands on the school bus. But over the subsequent couple of years, our lives wove together. Babies then and raising our own now, crayon art taped to red brick walls. These days, most of our love story lives in the seemingly insignificant moments – in the reading of bedtime stories, the late night swims, the falling asleep to the sound of each other’s voices. I hope to preserve a few of those moments here.
