Man the convenience of a local getaway with small kids cannot be understated. The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass is one of our favorite places to staycation (we stayed last year too), because it’s removed enough to feel like an escape but close enough to be super easy. On holiday weekends, they have a full itinerary for families to choose from (including childcare options), so it seemed like the best place to spend our last vacation as a family of three!
The staff greeted us with all the makings for s’mores, and we ate way too many of them around the campfire.
The next morning after breakfast we hit up the water park. Okay it’s not actually a waterpark but I mean basically. Ryan took a turn on the dunk tank, obvi.
We cooled down with the make your own shaved ice truck. Heaven.
Hudson refers to the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass as “The Waterslide Place,” because A) it’s easier for a 4-year-old to remember and B) look at this thing. Ryan aka MVP of the weekend took him up and down the slide what must have been a thousand times.
The PR team set us up on a horse-drawn wagon ride to the nearby equestrian center where Hudson learned to lasso, and we played a game of horseshoes (I won!).
One of my favorite parts of the whole weekend was boating around with these two cuties.
That and the FOOD. Because at 9 months pregnant, there’s nothing more important than good eating.
Thanks to the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass for hosting us and such a memorable weekend. We can’t wait for our next staycation!
